Six Months Out and Doing Great!

It’s been a busy six months since Charlie had his surgery, so I wanted to come by and give an update! The bottom line is, Charlie is doing great! His pathology finally came back and I am happy to say that it was confirmed that he did have a chondrosarcoma and that the margins were clean. He should be able to live out his natural lifespan and it is very unlikely that the cancer will recur. Great news!!!

On the practical side, Charlie healed up beautifully and has adapted really well to missing his leg. He’s slimmed down a bit on the new diet the vet prescribed (1.5 cans of wet food and a quarter-cup of kibble every day) and is feisty and happy and his old self.

Missing a leg doesn't stop him from balancing on the paper shredder to try to reach my desk!

  1. Hooray for Charlie! Great that you got such a good pathology report. I love the photo of him on his tree.

    1. Thank you!! He is back to his old self again and it’s so great to see him be happy and play.

  2. BRAVO! I’m thrilled that he’s back to normal, and will be from here on out. It’s wonderful to see “A Day in the Life of Charlie” too, so many people can see that yes, a TriKitty does have a great life after losing a leg. Thank you so much for taking time to give us a peek into Charlie’s (and your) world!
